Job Description:

The Cincinnati Marriott RiverCenter in Covington, KY is looking for a Food & Beverage Supervisor with restaurant and bar experience to join our team! He/she would assist with the responsibilities of Food & Beverage leadership to assure attentive, friendly, courteous, and efficient service in all F&B Outlets, including the Bar, Room Service and Concierge Lounge, while maintaining high standards of food & beverage quality, service, and merchandising to maximize profits. Some other essential functions include:

  • Assist with interviewing, selection, training, supervising, and counseling of staff for the efficient operation of the outlet. Organize and conduct pre-shift and departmental meetings communicating pertinent information to the staff, such as house count and menu changes. Work with F&B leadership to schedule and direct staff in their work assignments.
  • Work with F&B leadership to maintain profitability of outlet to support overall hotel operation. This could include: control payroll and equipment costs (minimize loss and misuse); ensure par stock levels are maintained by calculating inventory and proper ordering; evaluating cost effectiveness of all aspects of operation.
  • Participate with the Executive Chef and other managers in the creation of attractive and merchandising menus designed to attract a predetermined customer market.
  • Assist with the effective control of food, beverage, and labor costs among all F&B departments.
  • Support the entire Food and Beverage operation including supervising other areas if necessary, handling special projects, running promotions, and handling public relations and marketing.
  • Provide clean and safe environment by assigning and assisting with cleaning.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Experience and Skills:

Education:

Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or any other combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the functions of the job.

Licenses or certificates:

Food Service Sanitation certification. CPR certification preferred.

Training and Experience:

Position requires one year of previous Food and Beverage supervisory experience.
