Job Description:

If you are looking to make a great impact in your Sales career, we are seeking an energetic, self starter to join our dynamic sales team. This management position reports to the Director of Sales and is primarily responsible for Convention Services segments to achieve guest satisfaction; soliciting past and new business to ensure all revenue goals (room night, average rate, room rental) are achieved or exceeded; maximize revenue by selling all facets of the hotel, both orally and in written form to previous, current and potential clients; handle account details so that all pertinent aspects of solicitation and closing are complete and documented: travel locally to conduct outside calls, promote the hotel and review competition reader boards to develop leads: prepare information for, meet with, and entertain clients as deemed appropriate to generate potential business from that account: represent the hotel at trade shows as required. While this position is primarily sales some follow through and assistance with events and meetings will be a fun addition to the duties of the position.

Experience and Skills:

The ideal candidate must be a self-motivator, have strong organization skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects at once and possess at least two years of sales experience.

Basic mathematical and calculator skills to prepare cost proposals.

Computer literate in Word and Excel software applications.

Ability to effectively communicate with customers in a friendly and positive manner, in order to solicit business, meet client needs and resolve complaints.

Ability to listen, speak and write to ascertain and respond to client needs.

Knowledge of a hotel structure and how all departments interact.

Ability to move throughout the hotel to conduct site inspections.
