Job Description:

To ensure food is cooked in accordance with established standards in order to provide optimal customer service.

 

Experience and Skills:

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure efficient and proper set-up of assigned station by time of service.

  2. Assist Sous Chefs and other cooks in production and service.

  3. Work in Sous Chefs absence, and will supervise all a la carte and banqueting production and service.

  4. Assists and supervises Cook Is and IIs in other kitchen production, pantry and banquet as needed.

  5. Responsible for keeping position on line clean and sanitary during shift and completing daily checklists accurately.

  6. Supports and participates in hotel recycling and sanitation programs.

  7. Watch for safety hazards and report them immediately to your Department Supervisor.

  8. Work along with Chef de Cuisine and Sous Chef for new menu items.

  9. Executes daily specials with the help of chefs.

  10. Ensure all coolers and freezers are organized and well maintained as per standards.
