Job Description:

Perform all general maintenance and troubleshooting duties for the following systems, HVAC, electrical and plumbing for the resort.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Provide assistance with pool maintenance

  • Monitor main plant operating conditions

  • Document readings in the engineering logs for equipment

  • Change filters in air handling units

  • Complete work requests in a timely manner established by the Chief Engineer

  • Respond to guest requests at their discretion in a professional and courteous manner

  • Maintain professionalism, grooming and appearance while on property

  • Duplicate keys as directed

  • Perform preventative maintenance in specific areas assigned by the Chief Engineer

  • Report any unsafe or improper equipment operating conditions to the Chief Engineer

  • Watch for safety hazards and report them immediately to appropriate Manager.

* Monitor environmental systems

  • Perform daily inspections

  • Takes necessary action to eliminate down time of the systems, food and beverage equipment, including kitchen ranges, walk ins, reach-in freezers, refrigeration units, ice machines, and domestic hot water systems.

  • Ensure work stations and areas are properly secure when leaving a project or completing a project. This includes cleaning, securing tools and equipment and communication to associates and/or guests

Experience and Skills:

Qualifications Required:

  • Capable of utilizing all tools and diagnostic procedures related to the repair process.
  • Must possess very good interpersonal and communication skills; will be interfacing with a high percentage of guests as well as other staff members.

  • Must speak fluent English

  • Must be flexible to work all shifts, may be required to work overtime on occasion when the department is short of personal

  • The ability to listen, learn and be helpful in all situations and make the most sound decisions toward the resolution of a potential problem
