The Banquet Chef is responsible for planning, prepping and set up while ensuring quality service in banquet food production for menu items and specials in accordance with standards and plating guide specifications. Will direct, train and monitor performance of Line Cooks. Will maintain organization, cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment. Ensure all employees attend daily line-ups and that standards and procedures are followed at all times.

Experience and Skills:

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.


  • Thorough knowledge of food products, standard recipes and proper preparations.


  • Ability to read, write and speak English to comprehend and communicate job functions.


  • Finger/hand dexterity in order to operate food machinery.


  • Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry, or otherwise, move goods weighing a maximum of 200 lbs. on a continuous basis.


Qualification Standards



Any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

Culinary College Degree

Previous banquet experience at a luxury hotel

Excellent time management skills and attention to details

Candidate must be proactive with a positive and strong work ethic

A sense of urgency a must.”
