We are a 1020 room convention hotel located on International Drive across from Sea World. We take great pride in delivering REMARKABLE guest service at all times.

Purpose of the Positions: Primary function is to maximize rooms’ revenue and yield penetration through proper management of rooms’ inventories through analytical and technical knowledge of hotel reservation's systems and front office systems of multiple hotels.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • 1. Assist (DORM) with Developing, implementing, monitoring and controlling sales strategies, and manage all ecommerce sites including Genares and all extranets. Conduct sales strategy meetings to ensure the proper mix of group/transient guests while maximizing occupancy and room revenue. (25%)

    2. Manage/supervise Group Coordinators, Reservations Supervisor, and Wholesale Coordinator with group blocks, wholesale blocks/allotments, rates, Reservations Agents, and work closely with the Sales and Convention Services departments. (40%)

    3. Assist (DORM) compiling data, analyzing trends, develop accurate weekly and period forecasts and communicate to all departments to ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained to provide quality of guest services while minimizing expenses. (10%)

    4. Assist (DORM) in developing, implementing, monitoring and controlling annual budget and marketing plans to assist in meeting/exceeding the overall hotel goals. (5%)

    5. Monitor, control, and communicate inventory levels, reservations call volume, and rate restrictions to meet business objectives in Staff Meeting, Revenue Meeting, and morning/evening stand up meetings. (5%)

    6. Assist (DORM) in negotiating rates for transient accounts to ensure the right mix of sales to maximize room revenue. (5%)

    7. Establishes, measures, monitors and effectively evaluates processes, polices, and procedures as well as supervise group coordinators. (5%)

  • QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
  • Position is responsible for developing and recommending sales strategies, room mix and pricing. Assist the Director of Revenue Management (when absent or needed) with the reservation systems, forecasting and reporting.

  • Analytical and technical skill required. Need to have working knowledge of reservations, front office. Forecasting and creative revenue management abilities needed. Yield management skill required to evaluate business trends and communicate to properties the recommendations needed to take full advantage of revenue maximization.

     

  • Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Supervisory responsibilities will be to supervise the Group Coordinators, Wholesale Coordinator, Reservations Supervisor, and the Reservations Agents. Work closely with the Convention Service Managers, Sales, and other departments when requested.

 

  • EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
  • Candidate must have a two to four year college degree or equivalent experience.

 

Experience and Skills:

  • Good communication skills to liaise with other managers and clients.
  • Computer literacy.
  • A knowledge of how each department in a hotel affects the business.
  • A head for figures and commercial awareness.
