Job Description:

Be a trend setter and bring your unique specialties and talents in hotel Corporate sales as we transition to a Marriott Renaissance in June 2018 (currently Crowne Plaza). Great location just off 494 & Normandale Blvd. in prestigious West Bloomington surrounded by upscale office buildings, fantastic recreation areas, just minutes from the airport and Mall of America. We need you to have amazing networking skills, know the trends, have the ability to give quality presentations and host clients from any type of group or business. You may work with local and national clients from initial contact to booking from details to follow through and beyond. Dive right in as you collaborate with executives and peers to add your ideas to enhance experiences for your clients and all guests. A snapshot of some of the things you will be engaged in:

Maintain and use the account tracking system/database and customer account files to generate future business.

Prepares sales reports, records sales calls and activities

Monitors guest satisfaction through follow-up surveys, thank you cards and calls.

Participates in industry and civic organizations to promote business opportunities.

Tracks activities of the competition and the hotel's position in the market.

Participates in various meetings for department, hotel and industry

Cold Calling potential clients to create a rapport and future business

Help plan and participates in activities outside of normal business hours

Participates in the development and implementation of marketing plans, sales action plans, gives input to the development of special promotions or packages, and develops ideas to build occupancy.

Meets and/or exceeds individual quantitative revenue and production goals set forth by the General Manager and Director of Sales.

Must have a valid driver’s license as you will travel to meet clients.

 

 

 

Experience and Skills:

At least 3 years hotel experience in Corporate Group or Business Transient (BT) sales a must and Marriott experience preferred. Experience with Salesforce FDC, CI/TY, Knowland, Sertifi, IDSS, Simpleview, Cvent and STR, Hotelligence, a plus.
